                I have seen words hidden,
                                laced like a bad trip;
                                made up like an expensive whore,
                                and deep-dreaming.
                But when analyzed,
                                they blow away like sand in a storm.



                I have seen these words.
                They speak to a part of me
                                the part that begs for sugar and violence;
                                               for hundred-some-odd feet
                                               of languidly liquid meaning
                                                                      that I would willingly drown in.


                I have seen words bitten,
                                chewed like cheap meat
                                              stretched across hollow bones.


                But these words,
                                They reveal meaning.
                                               In irony,
                                                                in pen-made-punctures,
                                                                                     and paperclip nooses.
